Thanks to all who braved the wild NYC nor'easter to come out to the Parkside Lounge with us last night. All the bands were fantastic. The Unfinished Sympathy started things off perfectly with a great set of power pop. They're here in America for the first time (from Barcelona Spain) and are on their way to Texas to play SXSW. They are going to have a great time down there.
TWJ rocked the walls, bringing people to their feet and making the young girls cry. We were psyched to return to the stage after our brief hiatus from doing live shows so we could focus on finishing the debut album, which will be out in late Spring. It was great to be back under the lights and sweating our faces off for the masses. Giftshop followed with a killer set of Bowie-esque rock. You should go see them. We hope to do more shows with them soon. Two members of Giftshop formed the majority of The Naturals; a classic power trio with great songs and fab matching b/w Rickenbacker bass and guitar for added visual appeal. Blue Dog closed out the night with some extended jams for everybody and it was all Fantasy Island smiles smiles everybody smiles. A killer night.
